Important Reminder!!

Please be sure that you have your APVMA club ID or your individual membership ID with you throughout the entirety of the symposium. Your ID will be necessary during the President’s meeting and will be required to participate in the voting process on Saturday night.

Overview

The Pennsylvania State University and the Penn State Pre-Vet Club are proud to host the 2019 American Pre-Veterinary Medical Association Symposium March 8th and 9th.

This two-day event will bring together pre-veterinary students, faculty advisors, admissions officers, and veterinarians on faculty and in private practice from across the country.

The goal of the APVMA Symposium is to expose prospective veterinary students to the diversity of the field of veterinary medicine and provide them with valuable networking and professional development opportunities.

Interactive Labs

Get ready to get your hands dirty! A variety of wet labs will be held on Penn State’s campus or at one of the near-by animal facilities. Labs will allow students to interact with experts in veterinary medicine all while getting valuble hands-on experience.

Leading Lectures

Leaders in veterinary-related fields will hold lectures discussing a wide range of current topics and issues in veterinary medicine.

Professional Development

Meet veterinarians, industry leaders, vet school representitives, and other pre-veterinary students all while enjoying Penn State’s creamery ice cream.
